Alzheimer’s Disease
Beyond Alzheimer’s Support Group
ONGOING Beyond Alzheimer’s is a weekly support group
for caregivers and loved ones of someone with
Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
Patti Davis, the daughter of former president
Ronald Reagan and Nancy Reagan, and
Linda Ercoli, PhD, director of UCLA Geriatric
Psychology, will co-facilitate the Westwood
support group. Xavier Cagigas, PhD, will
facilitate the Santa Monica support group.

Rev. Wendy Egyoku Nakao, Abbot of the
Zen Center of Los Angeles, will discuss how
a cancer diagnosis challenges our belief
systems, personal conditioning and spiritual
beliefs, and how it shakes up our hopes
and dreams. She will also explore how Zen
Buddhism provides a means to overcome
the challenge of cancer and illness.

Skin Cancer Prevention

cover skin cancer diagnosis, prevention
and treatment.
Expert speakers will present the latest
information and research on cancer
survivorship issues such as survivor care
plans, psychosocial issues, cardiovascular
health and cognitive changes after cancer.
Topics such as fear of recurrence, coping
with the “new normal” after treatment,
relationships and communication, and
sexuality and intimacy will be discussed.
